Google's Evil Deal
With The Devil
Posted by Jimmy :: Monday,
January 24th, 2006 :: 11:21 PM PST ::
Comment On This Post
For
those don't know, Google's motto has always been "Don't
Be Evil." Really! That's their official company motto.
Unfortunately, they broke their motto this week but
rolling out a special version of their search engine in
China that allows the evil Chinese government to censor
results. Just like Microsoft did with it's operating
system and it's search engine.
For shame Google! Maybe they should change their
motto to be "Don't Be Evil Most of The Time".
The internet was going to be the thing that (more than
any military power) freed the world by providing
information to anyone who could connect to it. But
companies like Microsoft and Google in the pursuit of
profits have made concessions to countries like China,
North Korea, and virtually every middle eastern nation
to allow censorship of it's products and search results.
That just disgusts me! The internet should not be
censored by any country, group or organization and
American companies like Microsoft and Google shouldn't
be a part of supporting such evil. Information is power
and regimes like China and North Korea know that. They
know all too well that if their billions of citizens
were free to see the outside world, their days would be
numbered. If anything, the United States should be
fighting an information war with these countries. We
should have a room filled with the best hackers whose
job is to thwart any censorship attempts on the internet
by these countries.
My opinion of Google just plummeted!

Kanye As Jesus? WTF?!?
Posted by Jimmy :: Monday,
January 24th, 2006 :: 11:00 PM PST ::
Comment On This Post
Well
here's something that's bound to cause a little
controversy among the religious right in America. The
next issue of Rolling Stone magazine will feature Kanye
West posing as Jesus. But why stop there? Why not get
Lil' Kim to pose as the Virgin Mary and Flava Flav could
be Joseph. See where American culture is headed? It goes
without saying that I can't stand Kanye West and his 'ignant'
brand of not-really-music nor am I am fan of organized
religion but something about this still seems just wrong
to me.
What's even more disturbing is that Kanye West is a known
Jew-hater just like his anti-Semite buddy Louis
Farrakhan. Kanye received a special award from Farrakhan
last year after making a "generous" donation to the
Millions More Movement.
Too bad the Romans aren't still around...they'd give
Kanye what he deserves.

Hey...I Want Gay
Rights Too!

Isn't it amazing what gay guys can get away with? Check
out this clip of Isaac Mizrahi feeling up the incredibly
hot and voluptuous Scarlett Johansson at the Golden
Globes. I think if gay guys are allowed to do this
without being slapped, us straight guys should have
those same rights. Of course if I did this, I'd be more
worried about Kim slapping me than Scarlett...isn't that
right honey? :-P

Bed Bugs Are Back!
(How Wonderful)
Posted by Jimmy :: Monday,

Comment On This Post
As
a kid I always heard the old saying "Sleep tight and
don't let the bed bugs bite" but never really though
much about it...till now. Seems that real bed bugs are
making a comeback in the U.S. and spreading quickly.
They started showing up in New York City last year and
have been popping up in major cities across the U.S.
ever since.
According to most reports, they're not really making a
comeback as much as they are being brought here by
immigrants from other countries. Just one more problem
we have to deal with by continuing to take in the rest
of the world's refugees. Sure, this country was founded
on immigration but I think we have enough tired, poor,
huddled masses at this point. It's time we hung a "No
Vacancy" sign around Lady Liberty and end immigration
altogether.
Having said that.....Sleep tight America, and don't let
the bed bugs bite! |

Slacking
Again . . . Web updates arriving later!

Comment On This Post
Yes I'm slacking again this week. I'm working on about a
dozen other websites right now which puts keeping mine
up to date at the bottom of the list but I'll try and
get some updates done later today or Tuesday.
Long story short, I chose to spend some quality time on
the sofa watching movies with my beloved this weekend
instead of being glued to the pc. It's tough being so
popular! Ha-ha! |

I

Plaxo to store all my contacts online and get a
summary every so often about all my contacts. Today's
was sort of interesting seeing as how I now have 666
people in my address book. Somebody alert Jerry Falwell!
The end is near! Oh noooooooo!

Six Degrees Of
Separation
Posted by Jimmy :: Tuesday,

Comment On This Post
My
six degrees of separation to the celebrity world
just got improved last nite. My lead web designer's dad
met Paris Hilton last nite so I guess that puts me 3
degrees from Paris Hilton and 4 degrees from every
celebrity she knows. Just an amusing thought from a
silly but rather intriguing game. Don't worry...it's not
like I'm into Paris Hilton. I personal think she's kinda
ugly and that her sister Nikki looks 100 times better
than her.
Thanks
to Dave Snowden for the photo. He's the head of my
design crew and that's his dad in the photo!

No More Limbo
Posted by Jimmy :: Tuesday,
January 17th, 2006 :: 2:21 AM PST ::
Comment On This Post
Unbaptized
babies the world over have reason to celebrate now since
the Catholic Church officially closed
Limbo last week. What is
Limbo you ask?
Limbo is the the theoretical place (not quite
heaven, not quite hell) where dead or unborn babies and
other "worthy pagans" go when they die. A pretty harsh
reality considering that
All Dogs Go To Heaven. The Vatican did away with
the
Limbo concept due to "emerging markets" in
Africa and Asia where infant mortality rates are still
very high. They could have simply endorsed birth control
but I guess it's just easier to restructure the
afterlife.
I wonder if
Limbo is also where all the Indians and other
indigenous people who never heard of Jesus went and if
so, where do they go now now that
Limbo has been closed? Maybe they were all
ferried across the
River Styx to
Purgatory. Maybe they all had to go straight
to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect two
hundred dollars. I'm sure the Vatican is working on that
issue as well instead of solving "real world" problems.

Wedding Crashers
RULES!

Comment On This Post
We
saw Wedding Crashers the other night on DVD and it was
HYSTERICAL. Well, if you're a guy you'll find it
hysterical. Kim would probably give it one star whereas
I would give it like 100 stars. I was laughing my ass
throughout the movie and Vince Vaughn was unbelievably
funny in this movie. Plus there's a surprise cameo near
the end that just makes the movie that much better. I
highly recommend seeing this comedy. |

A Night In El Segundo
Posted by Jimmy :: Sunday,
January 15th, 2006 :: 11:42 PM PST ::
Comment On This Post
Unlike
Vegas, what happens in El Segundo doesn't stay in El
Segundo. We hooked up with Art, Casie, Steve, Katie, &
K.T. Friday night and went out for "a few" drinks at a
bar called The Office. I think all the girls were
"feeling good" by the end of the night and a good time
was had by all. The most entertaining part of the night
came at the very end when Kim & Casie were crashed out
together trying to sing a variety of sings without much
success much to the amusement of me and Art. I even got
it on video and may post it here later this week. :-P
And yes, that is Katie & Casie engaging in a playful
kiss! You're welcome!
Thanks to K.T. for squeezing us into his small ride at
the end of the night and taking us back to our vehicle! |

New Year's Eve Party
Posted by Jimmy :: Sunday,
January 15th, 2006 :: 11:19 PM PST ::
Comment On This Post
We
celebrated New Year's Eve with our West coast gang, Art
& Casie, Mike & Janice, Steve & Katie, Sergio, Dan &
Genevieve, K.T. and a few other peeps whose names elude
me right now. We danced, drank, played Kings, drank some
more, and then drank a little more just to be safe. The
weather was really nice so we partied outdoors all night
at the Lopez house in Hermosa Beach and had a really
great time...as we always do whenever we party with Art
& Casie! Happy New Year! |
