Calm
Down (No Rings Until 2006)

Yes, we looked at rings this past weekend but there
won't be any "big news" until sometime in 2006. In other
words, don't be expecting anything when we come home for
Christmas this year. We just started looking and
if there's one thing we never do, it's make major
purchases in a hurry. We will be taking our time and
finding the "perfect ring" so again, look for news on
that front in 2006.
(We're already married in our hearts and have been for a
loooooong time!)

The
Red Dot Explained (I Should Have Known)

For
centuries, Hindu women have worn a red spot (known as a
bindi) on their foreheads. We have always naively
thought that it had something to do with their religion.
The true story has recently been revealed by the Indian
Embassy in Washington, DC.
When a Hindu woman gets married, she brings with her a
dowry. On her wedding night, the husband scratches off
the red spot to see if he has won either a convenience
store, a gas station, a donut shop, or a motel in the
United States.

Redneck Engagement Photo

Hmmmm, I wonder how Kim would feel if I wore my Stone
Cold Steve Austin shirt for our engagement photo?
LMAO!!!!! I mean, wearing a black t-shirt that says "If
I throw a stick will you leave?" in your engagement
photo...that's classic redneck!!! (And is it just me or
does this girl look like she's 15?)

BEST
CHRISTMAS DISPLAY EVER!!!!!!

As
I mentioned in an earlier post, I am a straight up
Christmas nut and can't wait to have my own house to
decorate. Of course National Lampoon's Christmas
Vacation set the bar for going overboard when it comes
to lighting your house up for the holiday....BUT
NOTHING....could ever top this!
You have to see this
video!!! Trust me....it's worth watching.

Laundry Day

In
spite of all our modern luxuries in California we still
have to do the most dreaded chore of all...laundry. We
have a washer and dryer at our place but when you have 8
loads of clothes, it can take all day so we loaded up the
car and went to the local laundry mat Sunday morning. We
washed all 8 loads at once and then dried them all at
once. What would normally take us 10 hours, we got done
in 2. The downside is that hanging out at the laundry
mat is boring as this picture clearly illustrates.
Kudos to Kim for snapping this "staged" candid photo of me. And
yes...I'm "trying" to grow a beard...'trying' being the
key word! :-p

Saturday On The Go

We
spent almost the entire day Saturday running all over
the South Bay and "window shopping" since Christmas is
quickly approaching. I'm a Christmas nut so of course I
was stoked when I ran across this giant inflatable snow
globe complete with falling snow inside. Kim wasn't so
impressed but if they have any of these left after
Christmas and they're marked down, I may just have to
get one anyway. I'm already dying for next weekend to
get here so I can start decorating for my favorite
holiday!
We also started "looking" at rings this weekend. We
visited
Robbins Brothers in Torrance, the world's
biggest engagement ring store according to them and
spent about 2 hours trying out different styles and
looking at diamonds, etc., etc. We still have a lot more
"looking" to do but watch out for more updates about
this next year. That's all we'll say about that for now!

More
Margaret Perrin

You
can now watch the entire segment of Trading Spouses
lunatic Margaret Perrin as she rants and raves about
"dark-sided" stuff and declares herself "a God warrior."
As funny as it is to watch this woman have a mental
breakdown over absolutely nothing, I still feel sorry
for her kids and her husband. She really needs to seek
some help. At the same time, I would love to run into
this woman in public. I think I could literally give her
a stroke by running up to her and saying I'm dark-sided
and chanting some made up words while waving my hands
around like I was casting a spell on her. LMAO!

Fun At
Knott's Berry Farm

Kim's
company held it's annual picnic at
Knott's Berry Farm
this weekend giving us a chance to get out and have a
little fun. We arrived around 11:00 in time for lunch
and quickly headed into the park to ride a few rides. As
with most theme parks, the lines were kind of insane so we
only managed to ride about 5 or 6 rides but we still had
a lot of fun. The weather was great and even in shorts
and tees we were still a little hot...at least till we
rode the log ride and got pretty wet.
