Kim's
Halloween Costume

For those wondering what Kim dressed up as for
Halloween...she was a
silicon wafer cause that's what they make where
she
works. She made the costume herself and won
third place in her
company's costume contest. She bought the top hat, cane,
and tap shoes off eBay to jazz it up a bit making her a
Silicon Wafer...Broadway Style!

Q: What could be funnier than watching a
crackhead like Bobby Brown singing "Monster Mash" on
Jimmy Kimmel Live?
A: Crackhead Bobby
singing "Monster Mash" with mental retard Mike Tyson on
back-up vocals!
UNBELIEVABLY FUNNY!

It's no big secret that big oil companies and terrorist
nations are both getting RICH on the backs of Americans
and here's a good example of what oil money can do in
the space of 14 years.
When was the last time
you ever saw an American city like this spring up so
quickly? And keep in mind this is the desert of the
middle east!

Stare at the cross in the middle of the image...almost

Trading Spouses Rules!

I posted this clip a few weeks but it's worth reposting
for anyone that missed Trading Spouses last night and
wants to see the crazy conclusion next week.
Essentially, the show takes two husbands or two wives
and has them switch families for a week to see how other
people live. This time around they switched two wives
(one a completely unhinged religious freak, the other a
sort of timid new age mystic) and it has been nothing
but pure entertainment.
The religious woman
thinks she's in hell because the new age family had a
summer solstice party and has a star (not a pentagram)
in their backyard. Meanwhile, the new age woman has to
contend with the local "Christian" women brow-beating
her and basically condemning her for not being a
Christian within 10 seconds of meeting her. I guess
that's what Jesus would do right?
You can check out a
highlight clicking the link below and tune into Fox at
9pm next Wednesday to see more insanity.

My Halloween Costume: Photographer

I didn't really get to
dress up Halloween night unless you count my
photographer's vest as my costume. I actually had to
photograph a Halloween party at the Redondo Pier earlier
tonite so that was my Halloween. A far cry from the days
of terrorizing my old neighborhood of Seven Oaks. Ha! It
was actually pretty fun. Kim may have some photos of her
Halloween costume to put on here at some point so check
back late this week. |

My First Boss Gets Her 15 Seconds

Everyone gets their 15
seconds of fame sooner or later and my very first boss
(Priscilla [Welcher] Agioni) got hers today on News 7 in
Virginia today during a Halloween costume. She won
scariest costume in the Downtown Roanoke Employee
Costume Contest. I think she was a bloody baker or mad
chef. Way to go Priscilla!
You can see her 15
seconds of fame by
clicking here and then clicking on the Halloween
video.
Priscilla was my first
boss waaay back in the day when I worked at the local
skating rink at the tender age of 15. Of course I didn't
remain tender for very long...I actually "became a man"
while working there one night so my skating rink job
still remains the coolest job I ever had. LOL! |

Happy Halloween [Brief Weekend Update]

Comment On This Post
So not much of an update this week...we've both been
extremely busy lately but here's our weekend update
none-the-less...
Friday - We stayed
in Friday nite and watched a few Halloween movies
including Hellraiser I & II. Enough said.
Saturday - We were
all over the place on Saturday...running here and there
and everywhere and even had to go to the mall where they
already have all the Christmas decorations up. We got
invited to several Halloween parties at the last minute
(as always...I don't think anyone ever plans more than
24 hours in advance out here) but after running around
all day and not having any new costumes, we stayed in.
Kim worked on the costume she's wearing to work tomorrow
(she's going to be a silicon wafer cause that's what her
company makes) and I played on the pc and watched
Halloween movies simultaneously.
Sunday - Even
though we got an extra hour of sleep, we still slept
late but got up around noon and headed out for another
busy day. We're both working with nutritionists to
improve our diets and overall health (it's the thing to
do in Cali) and so we went to
Whole Foods and
Trader
Joe's and started stocking up on all kinds of organic
foods. I'm mostly moving to a diet of fish and organic
meats like Buffalo and Ostrich while Kim is moving to a
varied diet of organic meats, veggies and fruit. It
should be an interesting week but hopefully we'll shed a
few pounds and start feeling better....not that we're
feeling bad or anything...but our nutritionists said you
don't know how good you can feel until you start eating
better and living better. We'll see.
Sunday evening we cleaned
up the house and did something we hadn't done in
ages...chilled out completely. We cut off everything in
the house including our pc's (shocker!), put on some soft jazz and
crashed on the sofa to read for a few hours. Maybe it
was the early darkness now that we've switched to DST
but whatever made us do it, it was nice to really relax
for a change.
So that's it for
now...I'll try and do some better updates as time
permits this week. :-) |

(Hopefully this won't get me arrested the next
time I'm in my hometown!)
If anyone knows how much
of a cynical nerd I can be sometimes, it's definitely
Kim. She was playing on her pc earlier tonite and
starting giggling and grinning uncontrollably. When I
asked her what was so funny and she IM'd me a link to
the
South Boston Police Department website and told
me that it was going to crack me up and sure enough...it
did. Looks like someone discovered an old copy of
Microsoft FrontPage 95 and put together the best website
of 1995. Ha!
Seriously though, I think
I should offer them a free website makeover in exchange
for a "get out of jail free card" in the
event I ever get into a
row with any of the natives! Ha-ha!
(No hard
feelings to whoever created this website...you gotta
start somewhere) |

I
hear
my bro and his wife were awarded Best Aunt & Uncle
of the year to our little niece Alex this past weekend
but the way I see it...the year isn't over! Ha!
Seriously speaking though, I can't wait to see her again
this Christmas and shower her with gifts and I'm glad
she's got a great aunt and uncle in Virginia. |
