You
gotta love this. I'm not gonna tell you what's wrong
with this Parent's magazine cover but I will say someone
in the editing department should have caught it before
it went to press.
Just keep looking...it'll

Partying w/
Art & Casie & Friends

Comment On This Post
Sunday
was definitely a party day for us. Our good friends Art
& Casie invited us to their parent's house for a Sunday
night cookout/party. We spent most of the night playing
a cool card game called Kings which involves of myriad
of different things but is mostly centered around
drinking, acting silly and truth or dare scenarios that
gets the girls to put their hair in pigtails and give
each other lap dances. Obviously I am now a huge fan of
this card game and looking forward to playing it again
soon...ha-ha! Come to think of it, virtually all of the
dares involved Casie and lap dances or human wheel
barrow stunts in the back yard...as you can tell from
the pics! :^P
But
seriously...we had a great time partying with Art (Tuti)
& Casie, Mike & Janice, Sergio, Katie "Cheeks" O'Leary,
Steve, and the rest of the Lopez family who supplied us
all with some great food and an inviting place to party
Sunday night! Next time we won't forget the "good"
camera. (What was I thinking?)
Big thanks to Sergio for taking me drunk, I'm home! I
still got your shirt dude! |

FREE Sharpie
With Purchase of Chips

Comment On This Post
This
happened the other weekend but I wasn't able to post it
yet cause I needed to set up my picture phone account
which I finally did tonite. So anyway...Kim and I were
grocery shopping at Ralph's when Kim picked up a bag of
tortilla chips and put them in the basket. I couldn't
help but notice that there was a Sharpie (black marker)
in our bag of tortilla chips. I showed Kim and we both
cracked up laughing. We tried to see if someone had
opened the bag and put it in there but couldn't find any
signs of tampering. Apparently this Sharpie accidentally
found it's way into the bag at the factory. We gave the
bag of chips to one of the clerks up front who also got
a good laugh from it. Now aren't you glad I got a
picture phone? |

In The Still

Even
after living here for almost four years now you never
know when something is gonna take you by surprise. It
was about 2 a.m. Saturday night and I went to lock the
back door when something caught my attention. I stepped
out by the pool and heard the "unmistakable" sound of a
woman having a really good time.
About half way down our block there's an apartment
building which runs perpendicular to our place and
coming from one of the upstairs windows were the audible
throes of passion you normally only hear in movies...or
from our bedroom window...ha-ha! Now I don't know if
this chick was flying solo or had a partner but either
way, somebody or something was getting the job done. I
almost had to clap after it was over and yes, I
preferred that to the raccoon fighting championship that
happened last week! |

After
me and Kim finally got home from hangin w/ Jayson & Lisa
we got into comfy clothes, crashed on the sofa and of
all things, watched the Christmas movie Elf (with Will
Ferrell) on HBO. We'd seen it before but it was still
very funny and for some odd reason it actually felt like
it was Christmas time while we were watching it. |

Memorial
Day Weekend in the South Bay always means two things,
(1) partying and (2) Fiesta Hermosa. Jayson & Lisa
called us up on Saturday to see if we wanted to head
down to Hermosa and enjoy the festivities...and of
course we did. We met up and had lunch at Sangria's and
then browsed all the different booths at the event which
was fun. There's always lots of phenomenal art at the
event each year which is always the best reason for
going. Well, if you don't count all the hot babes in
bikinis! Ha-ha! |

How To

I think I've posted this
before but it's worth repeating;
*****************************************************************************************
The
Pentagon announced today the formation of a new 500-man
elite fighting unit called the U.S. REDNECK SPECIAL
FORCES (USRSF).
These brave North Carolina, Kentucky, West Virginia,
Mississippi, Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Texas
and Tennessee boys will be dropped into Iraq and have
been given only the following facts about Islamic
terrorists:
-
The
season opened today.
-
There
is no limit.
-
They
taste just like chicken.
-
They
don't like beer, pickups, naked chicks, country music
or Jesus.
-
They
were DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for the death of Dale
Earnhardt.
This
mess in Iraq should be over IN A WEEK. |

Wow!
We really couldn't believe Carrie won! I thought for
sure Bo had it in the bag and I was already feeling
kinda sad for Carrie, but then she won. Kim was peeved
cause she's was rooting for Bo. She was actually pouting
afterwards. LOL. I honestly didn't care who won cause
they'll both get record deals out of this I'm sure, but I
think a small part of me was rooting for Carrie all
along. I'm glad she won, but Bo still rocks! Already
looking forward to next season and the new dance
competition coming up in July! |

The Ultimate
Yearbook Oooops!
Posted by Jimmy: Wednesday,

Comment On This Post
Several
people sent this story into me earlier today and I
literally laughed out loud when I read it. Apparently,
this girl (Shadoyia Jones) is the only black girl in the
honor society at Waxahachie High School in Texas. When
the year book staff put in a photo of the honor society
no one knew here name so they temporarily labeled her
"Black Girl" until someone could find out her name...but
then they forgot all about it.
The yearbook came out and
all the white kids had their names listed, but Shadoyia
was simply listed as "Black Girl." The high school has
already issued an apology, but this story is already
blowing up on the net and every news feed is picking it
up. I can imagine it will only be a few days before Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson get involved and make this
out to be some racially motivated event when it seems to
have just been an honest mistake. A really, really,
really bad honest mistake, but a mistake none-the-less.
I actually feel bad for this
girl cause she's breaking the stereotype of most young,
black kids in America by excelling in the academics.
It's sad that this happened to her, but she's
smart...she'll get over it. Believe me, I know. I was
immortalized in one my yearbooks too. I had a car wreck
the weekend before yearbook photos were taken my
sophomore year. My face slammed the steering wheel and
left me with a nice black eye. For all eternity anyone
who sees my sophomore yearbook photo will wonder who
gave me a big, fat black-eye; it was an 83 Monte Carlo.

One
of my sons serves in the military. He is still
state-side, here in California. He called me
yesterday to let me know how warm and welcoming
people were to him, and his troops, everywhere he
goes, telling me how people shake their hands, and
thank them for being willing to serve, and fight,
for not only our own freedoms but so that others
may have them also.
But
he also told me about an incident in the grocery
store he stopped at yesterday, on his way home
from the base. He said that ahead of several
people in front of him stood a woman dressed in a
burkha. He said when she got to the cashier she
loudly remarked about the US flag lapel pin the
cashier wore on her smock.
The cashier reached up and touched the pin, and
said proudly," yes, I always wear it and I
probably always will."
The woman in the burka then asked the cashier when
she was going to stop bombing her countrymen,
explaining that she was Iraqi.
A gentleman standing behind my son stepped
forward, putting his arm around my son's
shoulders, and nodding towards my son, said in a
calm and gentle voice to the Iraqi woman: "Lady,
hundreds of thousands of men and women like this
young man have fought and died so that YOU could
stand here, in MY country and accuse a check-out
cashier of bombing YOUR countrymen. It is my
belief that had you been this outspoken in YOUR
own country, we wouldn't need to be there today.
But, hey, if you have now learned how to speak out
so loudly and clearly, I'll gladly buy you a
ticket and pay your way back to Iraq so you can
straighten out the mess in YOUR country that you
are obviously here in MY country to avoid."
Everyone within hearing distance cheered.
Pass this on to all your proud Americans |
Again,
this event is probably just a myth but I certainly wish
I could hear someone in a burka saying something like
that in my presence! I hate even seeing women wearing
burkas in my country. I want to run up to them and say
"Hey, you're in American now...you don't have to wear
that crap!"
I mean
really...why leave an oppressive country and come to the
freest place on the planet if you're only gonna bring
the oppressive customs with you? Every woman in the U.S.
who's still wearing a burka needs to ditch that crap and
run down to mall and get a thong, a pair of short-shorts
and a skimpy cami-top and get with the program. This is
America baby! |

Twas The
Night Before Tuesday . . .

Comment On This Post
Twas
the night before Tuesday and all thru the house, not a
creature was stirring, not even my mouse. Kim with her
pseudo and me half asleep, only one day into a long work
week. When out by the pool there arose such a clatter, I
sprang from my bed to see what was the matter. To the
back of the house I ran with great speed, for something
was out there, something indeed. Blood curdling screams
rang out in the night, as two huge raccoons engaged in a
fight. Screaming and hissing with all of their breathe,
this fight it seemed, was a fight to the death.
Yadda,
yadda, yadda...
So me and
Kim were in bed Monday night....Kim was sound asleep and
I was almost asleep when I heard something...something
that sounded like demons screaming in agony. I sat up in
the bed at which point Kim woke up and cut off our sound
machine. The noise was much louder then so I went to the
bedroom window and listened and could tell it was coming
from right behind the house...seemingly from our pool
area.
It
sounded like a pack of wild monkeys screaming bloody
murder and I think I literally said "holy crap" as I
started racing to our office which overlooks the pool. I
opened the window and I have never heard such demonic
sounds before. Out on top of the parking garage, two
raccoons were going at it and one of them was getting
his/her ass whipped...and they were both screaming,
growling, hissing, moaning, and waling the whole time.
Funny
thing was all around the neighborhood you could everyone
opening their windows to see what was going on. Even
though raccoons look cute and cuddly, I've always heard
they can be vicious but I had no idea how evil they
could sound. Did I mention they were screaming? |

Another
Cover Shot

I
don't even know if I ever mentioned this on my site
before but I've been photographing for Homes & Land
Magazine since January of this year. I typically
shoot all their high end properties and most wind up on
the cover or as big spreads on the inside, but even I
forget and get surprised sometimes. Case in point...I
was in Blockbuster Saturday night and saw a woman
holding this month's issue with one of my shots on the
cover which I'd totally forgotten all about. It was a million
dollar, ultra-contemporary home in Manhattan Beach in which
I'd shot a few weeks ago. It's kind of a nice surprise
when your photos are on the covers of magazines and you
don't even know. I grabbed a few copies on the way home
to add to my growing photo portfolio. |
