Here's some more interesting
"stuff" to check out...
-
Scissors - Pretty soon airport security will
have more scissors than God
-
CyberTan - You can actually get a tan from
your computer screen
-
Mister Bone - Just like me, fun to play with!
;)
-
Fun Game - Addictive little game, I could only
get up to 27 seconds.
-
MOONBASE - This is totally freakin AWESOME!
(Hit F11 for better
viewing)
This is
my favorite of the week because it reminds me of girl I
used to work with at RTP in Virginia. Actually, I used
to work and she used to sleep all night but that's a
whole different post entirely. Anyway, she was an
ebonics pro and used words like bidness
(business), idn't (isn't), wadn't
(wasn't) and my personal favorite...aks
or
axe (ask).
I
remember one night she said "can I aks you a question?"
and I replied "only if I can chop you an answer." at
which point me and Shane Gravitt nearly fell out in the
floor laughing which didn't help cause she was pissed.
We couldn't look at her for a week without cracking up.
Ahh, the memories!

More Money
Than $ense

Take
a look at this sculpture. How much do you think a
sculpture like this would be worth? $1,000? $100,000?
Even $1,000,000?
Try $27,000,000!
That's right! This sculpture
entitled "Bird In Space" by Romanian artist Constantin
Brancusi (1904-1957) was found in an attic in a European
mansion last year and auctioned for a record 27mil last
night by Christie's in Manhattan, NY.
Now I'm a HUGE fan of art
but even if I had 100 billion dollars...I couldn't see
spending that amount of money on a freakin' sculpture.
Think of all the homeless people that could have a hot
meal and a warm place to stay with that money! Some
people have more money than sense.

Vonzell |
Scotty |
Anthony |
Carrie |
Bo |
Still
reeling from the fact that Constantine was let go last
week, we tuned into American Idol again this week to see
who was going home and luckily, America got it right
this time. Viewers sent Scotty "the body" home after
weeks of poor performances. Granted, he was a funny guy
at times but how he managed to stay longer than
Constantine is beyond belief.
So now
there are just four and it's clear who needs to go next
week...Vonzell. Sure, she can sing the high stuff like
nobody's business but she can't sing in the local vocal
range to save her life and Simon seems to be the only
one who sees that. We'll be doing our part...we'll be
voting for Bo, Carrie & Anthony next week cause we got
lots of phone lines in our house! Vonzell must go!

The Children
Are Our Future? (KFC Adventure)

Comment On This Post
Sometimes, when I go to a
fast food restaurant I literally wanna ask the person
behind the counter if I can fix the food myself because
if you ask them to do something simple like "hold the
lettuce" you know they're gonna screw it up. Case in
point...Saturday afternoon me and Kim went to KFC and I
ordered 2 of their Snackers sandwiches and asked them to
hold the lettuce and of course, that was asking way too
much of the geniuses reading the orders from the screen
in the back...when I go our table it looked like I got
two Snackers with extra lettuce.
So being the person that I
am, I threw half the lettuce in the floor (so someone
would have to sweep it up later...yeah, I'm mean) and
then took them back the counter and made them fix me two
more and specifically said, hold the lettuce but put the
spicy mayo on there. After I got them, I opened them up
and saw that indeed that they had managed to hold the
lettuce, but also the spicy mayo. Of course I marched
back up to the counter and told the young dude he forgot
the mayo this time and ordered him to bring me the mayo
and I'd do it myself...and I did.
I know these sad hip-hop
kids are only making minimum wage but if you can't read
a monitor and hold one item from a sandwich that only
has 4 parts to begin with (bread, chicken, lettuce and
mayo) then your future is pretty bleak.
Note:
Kim couldn't stand that I threw lettuce in the floor so
using her napkin, she picked it up and threw it away.

A Fun Day At
The SEA Lab (Weekend Update)

Saturday
was Earth Day in Redondo with all kinds of little expos
and events going on and we went down to the SEA Lab to
check out all the...well, sea stuff. It's kind of like a
mini aquarium with all kinds of local sea life and the
best part is being able to pet the sand sharks which are
about 2-3 feet in length. I even got Kim to touch a
few of them but ironically, after touching sharks, she
refused to touch a slimy sea cucumber! All in all it was
a great sunny day and it was good to be out of the house
and believe it or not, I didn't do one bit of work on
Saturday...first time I've taken the whole day in
months. Guess even I deserve a break from time to time.
We spent most of Sunday
laying in the sun and just lounging around the house
reading or watching the tube. After all, you're supposed
to rest on the Sabbath. |

Sign Of The
Times: Mexifornia

A new
billboard is starting to spring up in and around LA and
it's truly sad and insulting at the same time. It's an
ad for Spanish TV station here in LA and the billboard
has the words Los Angeles, CA with CA marked out and
replaced with Mexico. With an estimated 1000 illegal
immigrants coming across the border each day, this is
truly becoming Mexifornia. |

NOOOOOO! Not
Constantine!

DAMN!
Our personal fav Constantine got eliminated this week on
American Idol and he really has no one to blame but
himself. He chose a song that he couldn't pull off
vocally and he paid the price. Granted, Scotty should
have been gone weeks ago and still needs to go but
Constantine gave the worst vocal we'd heard from him all
season this week.
Too bad...I think he's way
more of a rocker than Bo but hopefully we'll see him
doing something soon. Rock on Constantine!

As you may have noticed there are a few empty blocks in
our Photo Gallery. Well, I've gotta say...I've
done my part in preparing all the pix for those as well
as the pix for 9 more galleries. The hold up is
w/the Supreme Webmaster - NOT me. So, if you'd like to
see new galleries posted, post a guestbook entry or send
him an email. Maybe it'll light a fire under him.
Sorry
hon...you brought this on yourself! Remember our deal:
I'd do the pix if you'd do the gallery &
post them?

Just
wanted to say "Thx" to my "boss", Mr. Powell for the
flowers for Admin Professionals Day. He hand delivered a
beautiful bouquet of flowers to me at my "other" job.
You see, I've two Admin Asst jobs - one with
International Rectifier & one with Stellar Media Group.
My SMG boss can be such a sweetie...but then there's
always the non-stop sexual harassment I have to deal
with! <LOL>
I also
was surprised by two of my co-workers/friends at IR w/a
lovely flower arrangement and a big bag of Jalapeño
chips. (They know I'm a junk-food junky cause I'm always
eating those hot chips out of the snack machine.) Thx
Marissa & Myanh!
And on
top of all of that, another coworker & friend, Susan,
gave me a gift card to Macy's. Thx sooo much Susan!

sent me this last night and it's a pretty funny little
spoof of the Captain's Message...post 9/11. You'll need
to have your speakers on and NO, this isn't one of those
things that's gonna scare the crap out of you two
minutes in. I promise Mike!

This has got to be one of
the funniest vids I have ever seen. I was seriously
laughing out loud while I watched this. It's a clip from
Jamie Kennedy's old show The Jamie Kennedy Experiment
and he's the life guard in this skit. I swear I've
watched it like 10 times already and if you can't laugh
at this...there is something wrong with you. :^P
More
great video clips...
